EULOGY TO THE BABOUCHE SLIPPER (continued)

(...) The lines of a Babouche slipper, in their extreme simplicity, particularly when made by a master craftsperson, are of such formal perfection that words are superfluous. Technically, a Babouche slipper must be hand sewn and a worker is not able to make much more than one pair per day. In Morocco, true purists choose their Babouche slippers in a bright yellow shade, preferably made in Fez. Naturally, we felt it would be fun to add our penny’s worth to this weighty tradition by having Babouche slippers made in our own fabrics. The "abeille" pattern in particular gives them a romantic allure that makes them very pleasant to have around, and when you walk, the movement appears to make the bees fly before you.
