| EULOGY TO THE BABOUCHE SLIPPER .
The Babouche slipper represents a whole art of living. Designed to be easily slipped off before walking on carpets, it allows natural ventilation of the foot anytime you see fit. There is no such thing as a "Babouche running shoe", as it is the symbolic opposite of the trainer so widely used outside the sporting arena. The Babouche is part of a peaceful world where taking the time to think is not necessarily any less effective than rushing from pillar to post. As with so many of the good things in life, there is an acquired skill to wearing a pair of Babouche slippers: you need to adapt a little, to affect the right turn of foot, a sort of muscular dexterity in the sole of the foot to keep the slipper on.
