While looking through the souks trying to find for my own use some of these machine embroidered pieces which are rather mistrusted in Europe , I wanted to use this living potential, this spirit of embroidery that has lasted so valiantly until its present-day incarnations which are not always particularly sophisticated. So I drew from this work the realist technique and the age-old inspiration of the motifs, to create sheets and cushions in which the sumptousness of the material, linen and velvet, as well as the choice of colours, offer a new style.
