Architectural items:

The delicate art of enclosing a space is full of ambiguity. A prison, a gate, a cage ... these are symbols of loss of freedom.
While railings, balustrades, doors ... protect us.

Wrought iron is clearly very suitable for these, doubtless because of its strength and the fact that it lets air and light through. When iron is red hot it becomes malleable so that it can be hammered into slender, elegant shapes, paradoxically very similar to the fluid strokes created by a calligraphy brush. A skill that has become quite rare. We have built up a good deal of experience in this field by using it in our furniture and ironmongery. These "architectural items" seem to us a logical extension of this! Because very many houses and buildings feature balustrades, the perfect opportunity to express the style of their particular era, a touch of originality ... or more recently a lack of imagination.

Just because we do indeed need "cages" to protect ourselves, that doesn't mean they have to be gilded cages, that would be too much to expect. But, let's make them pleasant to look at, let them portray the plant world, the world outside.
