WALLPAPER: THE TWO RANGES

For a long time wallpaper was considered old-fashioned, or just something to hide unsightly walls. It was all right for those who liked faded roses. Or else it tended towards a somewhat vulgar decor, that was both grotesque and nostalgic, rather like the set of a satyric drama.
But times change, as they do, and wallpaper is once more in vogue.
The new practice of using wallpaper on smaller areas to create focal points radically changes the appeal of the most ordinary wallpaper.
Trends sweep us all along, and we end up doing something that we would never have dreamed of a few years previously. With us it was wallpaper.
We now offer two distinct ranges:
The first type that we call "Panel" is popular at present, but in fact it dates back to the earliest wallpapers, well before the introduction of rolled paper, when manufacturing techniques only allowed relatively small sheets to be produced. The use of Indian "rag" paper, itself handcrafted, imposes the same restraints. But paradoxically it is this imitation of old-style wallpaper squares that gives it its modern character. Production methods enable us to offer our customers relatively low prices. (...)
