An English couple who were great travellers, particularly in the East, decided one day to settle down . in England. But they did not want to forget everything they had seen and loved. Finally, they chose the Philippines to extend their travels which had now become almost come to a halt, by designing jewellery and decorative objects based on local crafts. Because what they perceived as the wealth of the Philippines was the extraordinary cultural diversity of this archipelago of 7,000 islands, all different, some subject to a Spanish influence, some with an Indonesian influence. But in fact, when you look at their designs, it is the myth of the "noble savage" that seems to have inspired them more than anything else: a sort of return to the roots of crafts using the natural materials available on the spot.
