ABOUT TAMGROUT POTTERY : (Next)
(...) This archaic and almost untamed aspect touches us like a message from another time and place. At the same time, it evokes in us vaguely familiar objects, because it reflects the rustic element of European peasant pottery that is now almost only seen in museums.
The pottery is quite fragile and chips easily because it is not fired at a very high temperature. However, using it in the home introduces an unsettling element into our daily lives, which are so predictable that even the apples tend to be calibrated to the nearest millimetre.
By definition the shapes of Tamgrout pottery are variable and depend on what we can find. The models and prices should therefore be used only as a guide. |
