I paint the tiles by hand alone, as it’s a practice that lies somewhere between art and craft,
like a kind of calligraphy whose writing is identifiable and unique.
It’s also a rather adventurous cuisine because the 800°C heat exposure
very often causes reactions between the tile’s glaze and that of my brush,
making certain colour combinations impossible.
